Recently we completed the installation of two new GMRS Repeaters. One is located on Duckwall Mountain. This mountain top sits at about 5800 ft. elevation and has a good overview of many parts of Tuolumne County. The second repeater is located on Cedar Ridge. Cedar Ridge will also fill in many parts of Tuolumne County. This location is at about 4300 ft. elevation. Please Join the Tuolumne County GMRS Facebook page where you will get permission to use these new repeaters, if you have not registered for one of the other local GMRS repeater systems. Or you can request permission here. We need to keep track of our users licenses to keep compliance with FCC Rules for license requirements. These new repeaters were funded by Chris Passeau WRPX768 and Marc Colton WRME405. Our goal is to provide additional coverage to GMRS users within the Tuolumne County Radio Watch network. Frequency is 462.725 Rx and 467.725 Tx. for Duckwall Mountain and 462.575 Rx and 467.575 Tx for Cedar Ridge. PL frequencies will be given out when you have registered with the system operators.
Another new Repeater was added to the Tuolumne County GMRS system on Moccasin Peak. The elevation of Moccasin Peak is 2948 feet. This Repeater should fill in the Big Oak Flat and Hwy 120 corridor to Groveland. It has good coverage into many other parts of Tuolumne County as well. The above information about registering for use and relevant information applies to this new repeater as well.
