How do you go directly to a channel without using the up/down arrow buttons and scrolling through all the channels? You cant, you must use the up and down arrow keys. Push the corosponding channel number, ie. if you want channel 5 then you push the 5 button. Push the zero button and then the channel number you want to go to. ie. if you want channel 5 then you push zero and then 05 (0 > 05). Hold the up or down arrow key and push 5, ie. hold the arrow key and push the 5 button.

What button do you push (and release quickly) to change from the upper to the lower display on the screen (see the arrow on the left hand side of the display screen). The grey button. The number 8 button. The Green button.

On the display screen, what do the three digit numbers to right of the channel description represent? The channel number that corresponds with the channel description.. The power level setting. The repeater DTCS code. The TX and RX frequency settings.

What does the letter "H" or "L" displayed at the top left of the screen represent? Hi or Low power output. 2 watts or 5 watts of TX output H stands for greater distance of transmission, and L stands for a shorter distance of transmission. All of the above.

What does the button above the PTT button do? Press and release quickly and the FM radio (preset to 93.5) will turn on and off. Press and hold and it will sound a "Panic" alarm and a flashing light will go on. Both of the above questions are correct. It will turn on the light.

What does the small button below the PTT button do? Resets the channel to the primary frequency you have chosen. Mute the sound. Turns on a flashlight. Lights up the screen.

What does the green button do? Lights up the screen. Opens the squelch setting. Opens the programing menu. Opens the weather channel.
