Welcome CSU Members
Hi Everyone, Ron Trout here,
This may be your first exposure to the emergency preparedness project that several local agencies and groups will be contributing to. The goal of this platform is to reach out to and inspire greater community involvement in the GMRS Neighborhood Radio Watch (educational/training) program in Tuolumne County. The overall strategy will be to keep it in a fun, family friendly environment where everyone will learn essential radio communication skills that will hopefully draw some participants further up the line of emergency service volunteers and ham radio operators.
This forum section will give the CSU members a place to communicate in a private setting where training information about radio communication can be accessed at any time. Training material can be posted within our section (not viewable from non members) and referenced and shared amongst our members. You can send private messages and emails directly from this board.
This platform will provides a place to Interact with a like minded community that has shown an interest in safety and preparedness and the GMRS Radio Network. They will already be gathered here where we can use the other parts of the "Squawk Box" forum to educate, recruit and post events about what we do.
Please feel free to contact me to critique and make suggestions about all aspects of this Bulletin Board so that I can customize it to the specific needs of every group and our Tuolumne County residents as a whole.
This group needs a Leader/moderator. I am here to help get this group started and need someone to share the responsibilities of approving member requests and moderating the content of this forum. Please send me a private message with your status within the Red Cross community and I will promote you to the appropriate leadership position.
