Ron Trout here :D Transmitting from Columbia. I am a Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator, KK6QPP and member of TCARES (Tuolumne County Radio and Electronics Society) GMRS WRYV681 and a member of the TCSO CSU. I operate a portable Sawmill Service, traveling across California, Oregon and Nevada. Retired Firefighter, EMT, Ambulance Driver, not active with any departments but still ready if the need arises. Builder, craftsman and woodworking enthusiast (when I get motivated).

Some folks might remember me from teaching a beginners radio class from 2014 through 2019. I took a break after the Camp Fire in Paradise where I spent a year teaching a Yurt building Workshop for displaced residents in Butte County (instead of the radio class). A number of people are still living in their yurts today even after having their homes rebuilt.
