There are several GMRS operators that transmit from Oakdale during the Tuesday evening net on the Columbia repeater. The Hobby Hill (Columbia) NC (Net Control) station is also a Ham operator and will be able to relay information to the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) where any dispatch information will go to the proper authorities as needed.

It would be good to establish an NC who is located in Oakdale and a Ham operator, however, even if the NC is a GMRS it would be good for the EOC to have a single point of contact transmitting from an Oakdale GMRS network. Learn more about becoming a NC HERE

This collaboration not only enhances citizen effectiveness during emergencies but also enables them to work more effectively and efficiently during real life operations. It creates a network of support wherein agencies and groups can rely on one another, resulting in a more resilient and prepared community.
